At just three years old, Apalachee Ace Frehley, a pointer male bred by Ard Righ Kennels came real close to winning the National Shooting Dog Championship! Ace is out of the outstanding producer Ard Righ Distinction by CH Wynot Ace. He is owned by Darron Britt of Grayson, Georgia and handled by Shawn Kinkelaar.
“Kinkelaar pointed out Frehley to the far left front before the creek crossing beyond the Kerry place. An excellent cast that carried him to the front where he hunted diligently without success until 65 when Kinkelaar called point far ahead in tall pines. An outstanding find in a place not hunted by other entries, the work handled just as it should be and probably the best find of the stake. Frehley’s finish was far to the front. He was still strong and still hunting at 90. This brace produced two coveys, both handled by Frehley. Man, he looks good on point.” The American Field, Dwight Smith, Reporter.
